The Safran Arriel 2C2 is an advanced evolution of the proven Arriel 2 engine family, developed to power the Airbus H155 helicopter. Building on decades of operational experience, the Arriel 2C2 combines increased performance, improved digital engine management and exceptional reliability to meet the demands of modern commercial, offshore and parapublic operations.
Designed specifically for the H155, the Arriel 2C2 delivers the power required for higher payloads, improved hot-and-high capability and excellent one-engine-inoperative (OEI) performance. Its advanced control systems and proven modular architecture help operators maximise aircraft availability while reducing maintenance requirements.

Increased power for the H155
Delivering up to 951 shp maximum take-off power and 847 shp maximum continuous power, the Arriel 2C2 provides the performance required for demanding transport, EMS, offshore and law enforcement missions while maintaining excellent operational efficiency.

The modular engine design enables efficient maintenance and reduced downtime throughout the engine's lifecycle. Combined with Safran's worldwide support network, the Arriel 2C2 offers operators excellent dispatch reliability and low operating costs.
Excellent one-engine-inoperative performance
The Arriel 2C2 develops up to 1,072 shp OEI, providing additional safety margins during critical flight phases and allowing operators to maintain confidence during challenging twin-engine operations. Unlike earlier Arriel variants, the 2C2 was specifically optimised for the performance envelope of the H155 platform.
Advanced digital engine control
The Arriel 2C2 incorporates Safran's proven dual-channel FADEC technology, automatically managing engine operation, optimising fuel consumption and reducing pilot workload throughout every phase of flight. Automatic engine monitoring and built-in protection functions further improve operational reliability while simplifying engine management.
